Our Witch Hazel Hydrosol or Floral water (Hamamelis virginiana) is preservative-free, 100% natural and pure. Certified organic (USDA, JAS, Ecocert), this hydrosol is distilled at low temperature from the plants in France. Tonic and soothing. This organic hydrosol is classified as a natural aroma (edible). Originally from North America, imported into Europe during the 18th century, the witch hazel is a shrub with scented spider-shaped flowers of yellow or red color, whose characteristic feature is that they grow simultaneously with the fruit. The name of this plant actually comes from from the Greek “Hama” (at the same time) and “Mêlo” (apple or fruit) since fruits and leaves appear concurrently. Historically praised by the Amerindians for its multiple beneficial virtues, the Hamamelis is known as “witch hazel” because of its leaves similar to those of the hazel tree.

A true venous tonic, the Witch Hazel hydrosol is particularly famous for stimulating microcirculation, such as in case of tired legs. Cosmetic-wise, it is very useful for reducing dark circles and puffiness under the eyes.
